- Non-chip outer covering makes it safe for salt and fresh water activities
- Can be used during high-intensity sports
- Provides great support for ACL related problems
- May take some time to adjust depending on activity level
- Sports cover, patella cup or undergarments must be purchased separately
The SE-4 Donjoy Legend knee brace is a Level IV brace, which provides the “HIGHEST” level of support. It is designed for active and sedentary people who suffer from moderate to more severe ACL, PCL, MCL & LCL instabilities.
There are several key features to this brace, but I’ll focus on the most important:
It was designed with a non-chip outer covering and its meant to withstand the punishment of high-intensity activities and contact sports.
Designed with the “4 Points of Leverage” in mind (i.e.: anterior thigh cuff, posterior calf cuff, posterior thigh strap and anterior tibial strap) which gives you great support for issues related to the ACL.
The only major downside to this brace is that it takes some time to get used to wearing it. As you play sports, you may have to adjust it several times to get the perfect fit. Also, like most braces, the cover and under-sleeves have to be purchased separately.
What Others Are Saying Donjoy Legend Knee Brace (SE-4)
“This has revolutionized my workouts and soccer goal keeping practices. I am so impressed with he design, stability and comfort. My knee no longer is sore or has issues due to shifting ACL. I didn’t want to have surgery because it causes a cycle of endless scar tissue formation and removal. My kneee still “snaps, crackles, and pops, but it is not strained or under the pressure of wrong movement any longer.” (Amazon client)
“I play tennis three times a week. For over 20 years I have used a custom brace for my ACL deficient knee. After it wore out my research indicated no difference between a custom and off-the-shelf knee brace. I have used the DonJoy for a few weeks and it gives my knee a feeling of stability. I like its light weight and construction. My only complaint is it tends to slip downward as I run and jump. I am still learning how to adjust the straps and how much tension to apply. It is getting better, but not perfect yet.” (Braceshop.com client)
